SNEAK PREVIEW JUST ANNOUNCED Jan 22nd

Jean René Palacio new artistic director of "Jazz in Juan" reveals a sneak preview of the 50th anniversary of "the oldest festival of Europe in January".  

Marcus Miller well will host the 50th Edition of "Jazz in Juan" and will make several appearances on the magical Pinède Gould stage. "He will perform with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Monte-Carlo and special guests to be announced."

David Sanborn (Alto Sax) will jam with Joe De Francesco (Hammond B3) and drummer Steve Gadd in a Tribute to Ray Charles.  

The inestimable Keith Jarrett, will grace the Pineade Gould Stage once again with his companions of more than 20 years: Gary Peacock (double bass) and Jack De Johnette (drums).

Carlinhos Brown of Salvador de Bahia in Brazil. Singer, percussionist, composer and producer  will celebrate festive Brazilian music in a "Jazz in Juan" theme evening.  

French drummer Manu Katché (on the German Manfred Eicher ECM label) will bring a group of All-Star performers to Jazz a Juan’s 50th Anniversary edition.

The full program of the 50th anniversary Jazz in Juan will be announced March 11th.

Location: Juan les Pins, France. Between Nice and Cannes (Shares a small promontory with Antibes) Just 20 minutes from the Nice Airport).

Site: Gould Pine Park stage overlooking the Mediterranean.

Music: Mostly Straight-Ahead Jazz, Latin, Progressive, Pop, Fusion.

Festival Style: Intimate venue with great sound.

Special Events: Excellent midnight festival jams at The Garden Beach hotel.



Juan les Pins and her neighbor Antibes are located on a small promontory overlooking the blue waters of the Mediterranean. The famous casinos of Monte Carlo are just 45 minutes away by rail, car or bus. Explore nearby Chateau Grimaldi and its Picasso Museum in Antibes, Renoir's house in Cagnes sur Mer, the Matisse and Chagall museums in Nice, the perfumeries of Eze and Grasse, and the beach towns of St. Tropez, and Cannes.
